Polygel has a consistency similar to plasticine, thanks to which it does not spread and allows you to accurately adjust the nail architecture. It is an ideal material for situations where clients find it difficult to hold harder materials in the cuticle area or when weak nails need to be strengthened using a cover base.
Before applying the polygel, it is necessary to cover the nails with an elastic base to ensure better adhesion and protection. It is also important to remove the natural nail from below for better reinforcement.
For modeling polygel, it is recommended to use an orange stick soaked in antiseptic (ACD), which allows you to more accurately and evenly distribute the material.
The main stages of working with polygel include:
1. Standard preparation of the nail plate: filing, degreasing, dehydration and primer application.
2. Application of an elastic base, paying special attention to the area of the cuticle and side ridges. Drying and removal of the sticky layer.
3. Nail modeling with polygel for extension, strengthening or repair.
The drying time in a 48W LED lamp is 60 seconds.
